What a morning! Abby was born at 6:52 A.M.--almost before we got to the hospital! Lisa was in labor all day yesterday before things died down after 10pm. We got a few hours of sleep before heavy labor kicked in around 2:00. We got to the hospital around 6:30 and were in the room for about five minutes when Abby's head started coming out. About ten nurses were in the room instantly, and she came out on the next contraction. Abby weighs 8lbs, 13oz, is 21 inches long, and is very alert. Lisa was amazing during the labor, and she feels great. Grandma and Grandpa Lorimor will bring Stephen over soon, so check back later for a new family picture. :)

Emily and I are so excited for the two of you-- Praise the Lord! We will pray for Abby and for Lisa's quick recovery. That's wonderful that labor went so well. What a blessing!

Congratulations Leathermans! Stephen and Abby are lucky kiddos! After I had my two (boy, Nathaniel, and girl, Morgan) a friend said to me, "Now you have reproduced yourself." It struck me as profound at the time...not sure why, but I'm happy to pass it on to you. Abby is beautiful and you both look so very happy. All the best always.

How wonderful! Lisa, you look great! I'm glad that the labor was fast, but that Abby waited until you got to the hospital to make her appearance. (Giving birth in the car doesn't sound like much fun.) Congratulations, and enjoy your babymoon!
