A Move to Illinois in Our Futures

We've known for a little over a week now that we'll be heading to Champaign-Urbana in August, where Ryan will begin his graduate work at the University of Illinois, studying saxophone performance. We're really excited about this opportunity, but sad at the prospect of leaving Des Moines with so many friends and the many good memories we have had here. We're confident that the Lord is guiding our steps and we know He will care for our little family as we leave!

This May is a typical one - full of graduations and concerts and travel. Lisa's final concert with the Des Moines Symphony was on Sunday, and Ryan has several upcoming gigs with his R & B band.

Some symphony friends threw a shower on Saturday and we all had a great time. There are six women currently in the symphony who are pregnant. I'm really excited to use the Moby Wrap I got as a gift but I have to wait a few more months!

The baby is more and more active and I'm becoming more able to identify which body parts are pushing out on my belly!
